Herbs and flower party!

Austen flowers studio held a delightful, fun-filled evening of floral arranging last Thursday evening with a group of lovely ladies out celebrating a Birthday party in Wicklow.  This was our first floristry group booking and it was a real success.  What a great idea for a celebration.  We supplied the food and drink and the class participants got to celebrate as a group of friends and learn a new skill as well.  And to top it off they had their own creations to take home with them.

The class revolved around the theme of combining herbs and flowers in one heavily scented, part-edible and very pretty floral arrangement, all presented in a glass vase elegantly tied with a ribbon.  Then to close out the evening, we made these fresh flower cuffs using wire and obviouly fresh-flowers! We love this sort of our work as it so strongly combines the work of a florist with art and design and its very girly! Each piece also reflects the personality of the individual who made it and we think that it is a great little memento of the evening in addition to the floral arrangement.
