I wanted to touch briefly on the impact of foliage, be it in your bridal bouquet or in your centre-piece, it plays a key role in the look you would like to achieve with your flowers. Foliage can indeed elevate the focal points of a bouquet or an installation as it adds different textures and a green “backdrop” to make your flowers pop. However, the use of foliage alone can also have a striking effect as it creates a more natural and romantic atmosphere. I recently did a wedding at Rathsallagh House (see below) in which the centre-pieces were mostly comprised of eucalyptus and pampas grass, simple but effective and definitely romantic.
So in conclusion, don’t be afraid to go green! Whether you introduce more into your bouquet or you opt for foliage alone, it can still create your desired effect.
