This week I am reflecting on a recent wedding at Brooklodge in County Wicklow. The title of this blog says it all: think purple. Purple anemones, purple clematis and the textural pièce de résistance; lavender. There is something regal about purple, the striking contrast between the green and white personifying the fact that this is YOUR day.
The choice of colour is endless, be it a rich violet or an icy mauve, it can be just as effective as the classic pink or red rose. In fact, the richness of the colour screams fairytale, just take a look at the adorned bridge in Brooklodge – straight out of storybook!
So perhaps you are leaning towards purple for your dream wedding, don’t let the possibility of a darker colour put you off. The desired effect can be achieved through other textures and complimentary colours to showcase your special day.
